Shepherd of the Valley

Explorative logo for a Presbyterian Church (USA) back home in Alabama that is leaving their old church building and transitioning into a new space in a different city. The church is looking to grow as they start this new chapter, so I wanted a logo that reflects the congregation they hope to become after this move. They are also changing names, with the new name being "Shepherd of the Valley."

I tried to evoke images of Christ as the Good Shepherd and imagery of a valley that recalls God's Creation. The congregation is a little more conservative than my home church, so I tried to keep the logo traditional, but modern to bring them into the 21st century and help them with expansion/outreach efforts.
